Benvenuti a Roma.Welcome to Rome.We had a long but good flight to Roma.we landed on time and Lucia out tour director was waiting for us.After check in at the hotel we went for a walk downtown,we stopped near the ARA Pacis,the altar of peace of the emperor augustus,we also saw the ruins of his mausoleum.We walked to piazza Navona where we had the first gelato and enjoyed the buskers and the beauty of the baroque fountain by bernini. then to the pantheon,the most preserved temple of the roman time converted later into a church.Time to go back to to the hotel for dinner..ciao
