As you can see everybody arrived in good shape and enjoyed the first day here in Edinburgh. We got through the airport quickly and met our driver, Harry, who will be with us for the Scottish leg of our tour. We drove in to the centre of the city and walked up to the Royal Mile right to the entrance of the castle which we'll visit tomorrow. Here we had some time to enjoy the streets of this Old Town and get a snack or do a little shopping. Then we walked down across the Mound to the Natoional Gallery to check out some of the art before walking along past the Scotts memorial back to our coach. Then we drove out ot our hotel for dinner and time to relax, ready for some serious sightseeing tomorrow!
