Day 2: April 13, 2008

Hello, my name is Seidy and I´m the tour guide of this Explorica group in Costa Rica. They arrived just yesterday very late and everybody very tired. So, they went to sleep fast to get ready for today; today they had the chance to see San Jose, the capital of this country and we went to visit Cartago, the ancient capital and second province of Costa Rica and spent the whole day there. We saw the Irazu volcano and its main crater; we also saw the coatis, animals related to racoons; we visited the Lancaster Garden, famous because of its orchids; they had their first "casado" for lunch; we went to see the valley of Orosi, where there is the oldest church of Costa Rica still being used; we saw and ate some coffee beans and visited also the main church of Cartago, La Basilica de los Angeles. All this in one day, this students really have energy! At the end of the afternoon we came back to San Jose and had dinner at the Casona del Cerdo restaurant and then we got ready for resting. Good Night!
