Day 2: November 04, 2008

Hello from LONDON! We arrived bright and early this morning. Got on the coach straight to our hotel in Earls Court and dropped the luggage there before we headed to the Westend (central London). It's a bit nippy but it's not raining!!!!!! We went straight to piccadilly circus by tube -underground- and after a nice coffee and a snack headed towards Trafalgar Square. From there we caught our first glimpse of Big Ben. Then we walked up to Covent Garden; it's a big square where there are street entertainers and a cute little art and craft market. We got some free time to roam around. We also got the chance to visit the National Gallery Museum and saw among other paintings 'the sunflowers' by Van Gogh....We popped in another museum called the National Portrait Gallery where we admired some great portraits of the Queen and other famous people. After a little stop at Leicester Square we got some time off to walk around Chinatown and other busy parts of town. Later on we had a traditionnal fish and chips dinner and eventually made it back to the hotel...which was like home sweet home because it was a long day and we didn't get much sleep last night....Good night everybody...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......
