We are finally here in Madrid, Spain. The flights were long but it was all ok. When we arrived in Madrid, we met Rolando, and when the two groups were together, we went to the hotel. After registering, we took our rooms, settled down, took a shower and were ready to start seeing the city. Even if it was raining, we walked to the Metro stop, took the metro and headed to the Prado Museum. We all enjoyed the beautiful and interesting permanent collection there, among which we enjoyed works by famous Spanish painters like Goya, Velazquez and Murillo. After that, we then walked to the heart of the city, to Puerta del sol where we were delighted to see the nice buildings and other places of interesting. We then went to the restaurant where we enjoyed a very nice dinner, after which we were ready to go back to the hotel for a well deserved rest.
